I am Julianne McGuinness, Owner & Principal of Aisling Mhor Consulting, and a long-time small business and non-profit leader, entrepreneur, and counselor. I have launched my own businesses and helped others launch both businesses and non profit organizations – from restaurants to lumber mills to tourism companies. I have a successful track record of fundraising, business, and community development.
In my consulting and coaching work, I draw upon my education in clinical psychology, as well as years of varied experience as a nonprofit leader, manager, scientist, small business owner, grant writer, event manager, artisan, and botanical chef. I have had the unique privilege to serve as a Botanical Garden director in Alaska, and as a social worker in Manhattan, manage a community radio station… and moonlight as a botanical chef! I have reinvented my own life and career several times, in different locations.

- Review my list of services below. E-mail me (julianne@aislingmhor.com) with a description of what type of services or help you request. Tell me about yourself or your business. Tell me about your dreams. Tell me about the challenges and obstacles. (All communications are confidential.)
- I will ask you a few more questions over e-mail, and we may have a phone conversation (free initial consultation – up to 30 minutes).
- If you choose to proceed, we will devise a work plan / schedule, and begin.
Each situation is unique, but my typical service plan includes an initial set of 3 consulting or coaching sessions of about 60 minutes each (consulting, coaching, or other exploratory and planning services) with detailed follow-up emails from me after each session. In these reports, I will outline any “homework” for you to do. I will outline the further research I plan to do, as well as recommendations. Sessions will usually occur once per week, but we will devise the best timeline for you. Between sessions, If you feel challenged or “stuck”, we can correspond by e-mail to resolve issues and move forward. My fee for these initial consulting sessions is $95 per hour, plus any expenses (such as transportation, materials, subscription fees, etc.) - After 3 initial sessions, we may be finished, or you may choose to pursue a schedule of additional sessions, or a written business plan, grant, farm plan, etc. My fee for written plans and documents is $125 per hour, plus any expenses (such as transportation, materials, subscription fees, etc.)
- At the conclusion of our work, we will evaluate progress – how do you feel about what we have accomplished? I will ask you to fill out a brief survey, and if you are not totally happy about a new plan, direction, or resources… I will offer you an additional session (1 hour) at no additional charge to clear any remaining challenges.
